SilentGuard
A simple presence-awareness alert kit for homes, garages, workshops, and small work areas.
Two Receivers. One Shared Beacon. Two Different Alerts.
Aratek SilentGuard is built around a simple but powerful concept: two independent receiver units monitor the same authorized beacon, but each unit performs a different function.
The Black Arrival Unit is designed to alert when an authorized beacon approaches or enters a defined area. The Gray Range-Loss Unit is designed to alert when the same authorized beacon moves outside a permitted range or when the signal condition indicates separation.
Together, the two units create a practical presence and separation awareness system without relying on GPS, internet service, or a smartphone as the primary alert device.
-
Step 1 — Package-Specific Coding
Each SilentGuard kit is prepared with its own receiver code and matching beacon identifiers. The receivers inside the box are configured to recognize only the beacons included with that same kit.
Step 2 — Carry or Attach the Beacon
The beacon can be carried by a person, attached to a pet collar, placed in a bag, or connected to an item that needs to be monitored.
Step 3 — Black Arrival Unit Detects Approach
The Black Arrival Unit monitors for the authorized beacon and can trigger an alert when the beacon approaches or enters the selected detection zone.
Step 4 — Gray Range-Loss Unit Detects Separation
The Gray Range-Loss Unit monitors the same authorized beacon and can trigger an alert when the beacon moves outside the permitted range or when the received signal condition indicates separation.
Step 5 — Local Alerts
The receiver units provide local alerts through built-in indicators such as sound and/or light, depending on the final product configuration.

What Comes in the SilentGuard Kit
Each SilentGuard kit is configured as a matched set. The receiver units and beacons inside the same package are coded to work together.
Kit Includes
1 Black Arrival Unit
1 Gray Range-Loss Unit
2 authorized iBeacon tags
USB power cables
Basic setup instructions
Package-specific receiver and beacon coding
-
Designed to Avoid Neighbor Interference
SilentGuard is not intended to respond to every nearby Bluetooth beacon. Each kit is coded so that the two receiver units work only with the authorized beacons assigned to that package.
This means if a neighbor, friend, or nearby household also owns a SilentGuard system, your receiver units should not respond to their beacons. The system is designed around matched receiver-and-beacon sets to reduce unwanted alerts and improve reliability in real-life environments.
Add-On Beacon Policy
If a customer needs additional beacons, they must be ordered directly from Aratek Safety. Additional beacons must be coded to match the receiver code of the customer’s existing kit before they are shipped.
-
Adjustable Beacon Sensitivity
The detection distance may be adjusted by changing the beacon’s transmission settings through a compatible mobile configuration application. This allows the user to increase or decrease the effective detection range depending on the environment, placement of the receivers, and intended use.
For example, a customer may choose a shorter detection range for smaller indoor areas or a stronger beacon setting for larger spaces. Final detection performance can vary based on walls, furniture, signal reflections, receiver placement, beacon orientation, and environmental conditions.

Designed for Everyday Awareness
Use Case 1 — Family Arrival Awareness
SilentGuard can help notify a household when a tagged family member approaches or enters a monitored area.
Use Case 2 — Pet Range Awareness
A beacon can be attached to a pet collar to help alert when the pet moves outside a selected range or returns toward the monitored area.
Use Case 3 — Child or Elderly Person Awareness
SilentGuard can assist caregivers by providing local awareness when a tagged person approaches or moves outside a defined range.
Use Case 4 — Personal Items and Assets
The system can also be used to monitor selected belongings, bags, tools, or personal items equipped with an authorized beacon.

Simple Hardware, Smart Configuration
SilentGuard uses wireless beacon signals and receiver-specific alert logic to detect different presence conditions. The innovation is not the use of Bluetooth alone, but the coordinated behavior of two separate receiver units with different roles, both monitoring the same authorized beacon identity.
The system is designed to be simple for the customer while allowing each kit to be configured with package-specific codes before shipment.
